The Liverpool City Study Tour as part of the 2022 National Economic Development Conference (NEDC), offers delegates an immersive glimpse into one of Australia’s most dynamic and fastest growing cities! One of the largest local government areas in metropolitan Sydney, Liverpool is the centre of South West Sydney, encompassing a total land area of 305 square kilometres and 42 suburbs, with a population of 223,304.

The NEDC itinerary features some of the catalytic projects which are helping to shape and transform this exciting city.

Stop 1:
Wylde – Mountain Bike Track,
Western Sydney Parklands

This $13.5 million attraction includes the biggest pump track – a track mound for warm-up/practice before entering the mountain bike trail – in the Southern Hemisphere.

Spanning 86 hectares, Wylde BMX and Mountain Bike Facility will become Australia’s largest combined BMX and mountain biking hub.

Stop 2:
The Western Sydney International (WSI) Experience Centre

This community engagement and education hub will take delegates on a journey to discover how Western Sydney International Airport will help shape the future of Western Sydney. 

Located on the new airport site, the tour features a series of interactive stop overs which provide insight into the opportunities that will come from Australia’s first smart airport. The tour culminates in delegates stepping into the airport control room and seeing the airport come to life!

Stop 3:
Taste of Liverpool Tour

A world tour stopping over in the Balkans, the Middle East, and India.

The tasting tour provides Balkan, Lebanese, Iraqi and Indian delights, including some of the best Dosa, Burek, Burfi, Manoush(pizza) and Falafel to be had in Sydney.

This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the tastes, sounds of this vibrant, diverse and culturally rich city.
