Western Sydney Parklands Study Tour:
Innovative Models for Public Green Spaces

Also known as Sydney’s Biggest Backyard, Western Sydney Parklands is the largest urban park in Australia – spanning 5280 hectares and running 27 kilometres from north to south. Visit its most spectacular outdoor spaces and hear how the Parklands has set the benchmark with its innovate land use model. From award-winning public recreation facilities to an ambitious environmental regeneration program (40% of its area restored to native bushland by 2030), the Parklands enjoys financial sustainability due to a targeted leasing strategy. Western Sydney International Study Tour

Depart for a journey where you will discover how Western Sydney International will help shape the future of Western Sydney.

At the Experience Centre, located on the airport site, you will be taken through a series of interactive stop overs where you will learn about the region and its people and understand the opportunities that will come from Australia’s first smart airport. You will be immersed in the experience as you step into the airport control room and arrive at your final destination, the airport site. Here, you will have a clear view of the future airfield and be able to see the airport come to life.

Then you will proceed with an airport perimeter tour.  This tour will be hosted by Western Sydney Airport staff that will include an interactive experience highlighting key locations and features such as current work areas, Aerotropolis and the runway.

It’s the beginning of a new era and a place where connections will be made, with people, places and opportunities. Western Sydney International invites you to join us on this once-in a lifetime project.

Agricultural Science and Innovation Study Tour

Presentation on the Australian Plant Bank, the National Herbarium of NSW and the Australian Centre of Excellence in Food Innovation (ACE-FI).
